VEL 7.2 released

VEL 7.2 Vision modules have AI support

The AI is using API key and allows to operate the modules in user’s mother language. It knows the module commands so helps to find certain feature. It can write scripts which can be started by user – repeatably. Also it may help with results interpretation and project optimization. And this is only the start of AI inside VEL! Let’s see where it will brings us….

New Vision style 2DFem module upgrades the Classic predecessor

Smoother boundary representations (Arcs), easier mesh control by using curved Super Elements and smart boundary conditions treatment makes operation fast and user friendly. The calculation includes Steel domains and thus brings realistic thermal conditions. Optimized post processing brings automatic identification of problems, vortexes, attach detach points. It allows to study interfaces and thus detect onset of interfacial instabilities.

The module includes AI control, Optimization and Batch calculation.

New BATCH solution in Vision modules (3DFem, 2DFem, Cooling)

The Vision style modules can be solved immediately – or in BATCH. That can be made on your local machine or remotely – on any LAN server in your company.
There is full support included with priority settings, IT personal direct control of the server performance etc.
Also the scripts before and after solution allow to prepare each project and extract data from the results.

New Cross Head Die Editor and Mesher

A new Cross head module allows flexible cross head type die definition and exports a mesh for 3DFem module. Currently it is used as a mesher only, but ongoing development is heading to a new Vision style Cross head die module with full solution and postprocessing capabilities.

New Optimization in Vision modules (2DFem, 3DFem, Cooling, Extrusion calculator)

The Vision modules allow to prepare optimization task and run it. This task can do a range of calculations and provide how certain parameters depend on the range parameter(s). User can then see the trend and choose his preferred optimum. (Say we may study in Cooling module how maximum final temperature depends on the Line Speed, Cooling media temperature or cooling section length.)

There is also full optimization procedure which finds what a parameter (or more parameters) should be to bring desired results. (Say in 2DFem we can study what the flowrate should be to bring final pressure to certain value.)

Cooling module and Bubble cooling module include Crystallinity

These two modules include newly Crystallinity (primary and secondary), allowing to study, predict and avoid hollow voids creation, product deformation. These phenomena have direct impact on product mechanical and optical properties and in case of cable also on adhesion to the wire.

And much more…
